About Get Settled

Get Settled is a directory for people who just arrived in Canada, or who are about to: immigrants, international students, and temporary workers. The first month is a pile of offices that do not talk to each other. This site puts the public offers and the government steps in one place.

It is free for visitors. The plan is the one used by narrow directories that stay useful: a homepage banner, a featured listing in each category, and a sponsor line in a newsletter. Affiliate links can be added later on a single field in each listing. Premium guides can come after the directory is worth trusting. There is no paywall on the comparisons.

The 46 listings in this edition were checked against bank, telecom, and government pages on 2026-10-19. If a bonus, a rate, or a price was not on the page, it is not in the listing. A sentence that says "confirm on the provider page" is a gap we would rather show than fill in.

Get Settled is not a bank, a settlement agency, or a government office. Writing to hello@getsettled.ca is how to flag a stale offer. Writing to sponsors@getsettled.ca is how to ask about a labelled placement. The site will not ask you for a SIN, a bank password, or a fee to read a listing. If someone does that in our name, it belongs on the scam watch page.
