Bell's prepaid page says Lucky Mobile plans come with no long-term commitment, no credit check, and no data overages.
That makes it the Bell-network option when a postpaid credit check is a problem.
No monthly price or data amount was printed in the paragraph we checked.
Bell notes that, starting March 1, 2027, devices that rely on Bell's 3G network will not be supported. Confirm your phone is newer than that.
Lucky Mobile is to Bell what chatr is to Rogers: the prepaid brand you use when you want service on the big network without a contract. We are taking Bell's description at face value and not padding it with plan prices from comparison sites.
Buy the SIM, keep the receipt, and test calls and data the same day so you can return it if the phone is incompatible. If you later want a postpaid Bell plan, you can move, but that is a new credit decision.
Who it is for
Anyone who wants prepaid service. Bring ID to register the SIM, which Canadian carriers are required to do.
How to act on it
Start from Bell's note and then open Lucky Mobile's own plan page for the current price. Do not rely on a price quoted only by a reseller.
Bell's current bring-your-own-phone page lists in-market prices, including a 100 GB plan shown at $60 a month and an unlimited plan with U.S. and Mexico shown at $75. These are not labelled as newcomer discounts.
chatr is the Rogers prepaid brand. On Rogers' own newcomer page it is described as no credit check, no term contract, and no commitment, with nationwide 4G.
Koodo's newcomer page is the flanker brand's version of the TELUS Canoo partnership. It promises deals for newcomers and does not list a plan price on the page we checked.
